€1.3 Million Investment in 40 Limerick Sports Clubs and Organisations

In Limerick, a total of 40 sports clubs and organisations are celebrating after receiving a generous investment of €1,303,363 in local projects. This funding is part of a larger €26 million allocation from the latest round of Sports Capital & Equipment Grants program at both local and regional levels.

The grants were awarded as part of the Sports Capital and Equipment Programme in response to equipment-only applications submitted by sporting organizations. Over 900 sports groups nationally were successful in their applications for various types of equipment that will benefit multiple sports organizations, their members, and athletes across Ireland.

The full list of Limerick Sports Capital Equipment Grants includes a wide range of projects such as equipment for outdoor scouting activities, maintenance equipment for community games, new boats and oars for rowing clubs, facility upgrades for soccer and pitch and putt clubs, robotic lawn mowers for Gaelic games clubs, and much more.

These grants will help support the growth and development of sports in Limerick, enhancing the opportunities for participation and success for athletes of all ages and abilities. Further allocations for capital works and equipment tied with capital works will be announced in the future, continuing the investment in local sports infrastructure.
