Exercise expert Dr. Mike Israetel has criticized Zac Efron’s workout and diet routine, calling several of his signature moves “a waste of time.” In a video posted in March, Dr. Israetel dissected Efron’s routine that got him in top shape for movies like Baywatch and The Iron Claw, praising his physique as “lean” but slamming some of the specific exercises as ineffective.

Dr. Israetel particularly criticized Efron’s trainer for including shoulder exercises that “do almost nothing” and questioned Efron’s claim of only eating organic food, calling it a “f****** waste of your time.” Despite these criticisms, Dr. Israetel did give Efron’s overall routine a score of seven out of 10, acknowledging that the actor is in great shape.
