BRAVE Combat Federation made history on Saturday, May 11 with its debut event in Mauritius. BRAVE CF 82 took place in St. Pierre and was headlined by a historic Bantamweight title fight between Nkosi Ndebele and Jose ‘Shorty’ Torres. This event marked the first-ever trilogy in the company’s history, with each fight taking place on a different continent.

The significance of BRAVE CF 82 did not go unnoticed by fans, as the event broke multiple records for the sport, not just in Africa but worldwide. This event was a milestone for the organization, as it surpassed its record as the most-hosted MMA organization globally. Mauritius became the 31st nation to host a BRAVE CF event, a feat unmatched by any other MMA organization worldwide.

The event also achieved a record attendance, with a packed crowd at Cote d’Or in Mauritius for the biggest attendance in a combat sports event in the country. Since its inception in 2016, BRAVE CF has been committed to transforming MMA in Africa, and BRAVE CF 82 was the latest milestone in this journey. The organization has hosted 76 African fighters from 13 different African nations, showcasing its commitment to developing talent in the region.

The fight night was headlined by Nkosi Ndebele successfully defending his Bantamweight belt against Jose Torres, becoming the first homemade champion in BRAVE CF history. This historic event sets the stage for BRAVE Combat Federation’s remaining events in 2024, with BRAVE CF 83 scheduled in the Netherlands on May 25, and seven more events planned for the year, including debuts in Croatia and Bulgaria as part of the 2024 Europe Tour.
